Pond Cottage is an old house in Sheffield, Massachusetts, in the Berkshire Mountains. From 1997 through early 2003 I had the privilege of sharing Pond Cottage as a year-round "country house" with a group of friends. These photos, taken around the house and the surrounding countryside, are from (roughly) the summer of 2000 through the fall of 2002. They're in no particular order and uncaptioned at present. I've intentionally not included photos with people, because I want to secure the permission of the people involved--out of respect, not legal paranoia. I hope to post "people pictures" soon and eventually to scan in my pre-2000 pictures (most of those posted here were taken with digital cameras). I took all the pictures with the exception of the lovely painting of the house and the collage of the house in all four seasons--these are the intellectual property of the creators with all that implies.
